WILSON

"The mantra- always- is how do we keep the tone  real and intimate, and  how do we make sure we’re deeply feeling something."

- Peyton Wilson, Free The Bid

"She's always sharpening the narrative through her questions. And the result is that you can feel the humanity of her subjects so much, it comes through in every frame. She captures the essence of what these people are about so beautifully."

- David Shane, Director

On Meaning.

"A documentary short series around the theme of Finding Meaning In the Everyday. Short and simple. And, still in the making.

This is what gives me meaning."

- Peyton Wilson

Keegan.

"I’m a California native who grew up with a family of surfers. Though I never surfed, the call my father, his brothers and the rest of my family has held for the ocean has always intrigued me.

So, when I met Keegan, the quintessential southern California surfer with a deep and inquisitive spirit, I thought a film on how the ocean feeds him would be revealing. And, perhaps allow the rest of us a taste of what surfers feel.

Daulat.

"The act of throwing acid on innocent individuals in India is one of the most barbaric acts I’ve heard of. So, to meet these women and discover their will for life and their ability to tap into joy and a purpose was something I’ll never forget, and had to make a short about it."

- Peyton Wilson

James.

"The Oregon State Penitentiary has an athletic running program for their inmates. And, that in return is what gives some of their inmates a sense of purpose in their day.

I spent two days filming James; a soulful and deeply introspective man who talked with me about how he finds meaning while being incarcerated. I’ve done thousands of interviews, and I found James to be one the most interesting people I’ve ever spoken with. He, in turn, gave me a sense of meaning.

Raise Your Voice.

"I've done thousands of interviews and this was hands down the hardest for me. And, at the same time, I think it was cathartic for the families to share their stories in a profound way."
