Green teamed up with his college buddies / frequent collaborators Danny McBride and Jody Hill to create HBO's dark comedy Vice Principals. As a Director and Executive Producer, David helps color the offbeat and hilarious world of the series.

David Gordon Green is one of the leading writer/directors of his generation. Raised in Texas, David attended The North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied film. By 23, David had written and directed his first feature film, the critically adored George Washington, which was selected for the prestigious New York Film Festival and won the New York Film Critics’ Prize before going on to win major festival awards internationally.

David’s additional films include All The Real Girls, Undertow, Snow Angels, Pineapple Express, Your Highness, The Sitter, Prince Avalanche (Best Director at The Berlin Film Festival), Joe, Manglehorn, and last year’s Our Brand Is Crisis.
All of these films were made before he turned 40. David has also found great success in television as Producer and Director of the HBO hit Eastbound and Down, as Executive Producer and Director of the Amazon series Red Oaks, as well as Producer and Director of the HBO series Vice Principals.

His next feature, Stronger, will premiere in 2017.
